Laptop Power Failure

Nothing is more annoying than to be engrossed in work on your Acer laptop, and then all of a sudden it all goes black. For no apparent reason, your laptop turns off.

If you have a problem with the battery or if the Acer laptop does not run at all, the first step you need to take is to ensure that power is getting to the laptop. This requires ensuring that the transformer LED is lit. If the LED light is not on, make sure it is plugged into a good source of power.

The next step is to determine if the laptop power status light comes on when you connect. Even the older model Acer laptops usually feature power LED. If you have a positive power station and the laptop just does not come on at all, the next thing you need to check is the battery.

Some Acer laptop computers will not work properly without a good battery, but most do. So, ask a computer technician to if your Acer laptop will work if the battery is dead or missing. If the battery is not the problem, and you continue to experience laptop power failure, it is likely the motherboard or other major components are failing. Take your Acer laptop to a computer specialist who is experienced in dealing with laptop power failure for the best results.
