If we haven’t got the part, we can certainly get hold of it. In many cases we can repair and not replace parts, we do our best not to create more electrical waste than needed.

How do I book my laptop in for repair?
Just use our booking form. Once we have your information we can book a collection via Parcel Force. All we ask you to do is pop it in a box for us ready
What if I do not want to go ahead?
If you do not want to go ahead with the outlined repairs we have a small diagnosis fee of £20.00 + Return Delivery and we will get it back to you exactly as it was sent
Do i need to send you the Power Supply?
We do say to customers if it’s a power fault then pack it. If you don’t send it we will assume it works ok.
How much will my repair cost?
This is hard to answer without looking at the laptop. However, we charge £45/hr (£65 for advanced board level repairs) and most repairs take between 1-2 hours to repair. We will always let you know in the quotation the exact amount it will cost, then you can decide if you would like to go ahead or not.

How to look after your laptop and electronics
The good news is it’s simple to keep your electronics clean
- Vacuum dust from your laptop, don’t blow it inside
- Always be careful with the hinges
- With spills, remove any power first then drain out excess
- If cleaning the screen wet the cloth first not the screen
- Always Back up your pictures and documents online or externally
It’s also always good to use genuine power adaptors this may help the life of your device.
Some laptops do tend to run hot. We have a free service if we need to open the laptop, which in most cases we do. We can remove any excess dust in the fan if needed.

On 21 May 2025, I received my laptop back from Laptop Specialist following an initial repair attempt to resolve an overheating issue. Upon receipt, the laptop was in a worse condition than when I originally sent it. The following faults were identified: • Fan wire damaged • Heatsink severely bent • VRAM thermal pads removed • Foam barrier on CPU heatsink removed • Overheating issue unresolved • Battery plastic cut • Screws missing With Their agreement, the laptop was collected again on 9 June 2025 for these issues to be rectified. However, upon return on 9th July 2025, the same and some new faults persisted. The overheating issue remains unresolved, the heatsink still severely bent, Motherboard damaged due to stand off coming off the motherboard after your second repair attempt, a non-standard foam barrier was installed which was just tape, Top of the laptop now has a dent in the top and The laptop turns on intermittently and when it does turn on it then turns off after trying to play any game. After sending a letter before action letter he blamed me for the damage, even though i have the evidence it was done by them? Pretty unacceptable, considering the evidence i have i asked for compensation which as just mentioned was declined because he blamed me? anyway, I am on the 28th of this month filing a claim against this company. please see photos of reference, I wouldnt trust this company. WARNING: He believed removing vram thermal pads and not replacing them would enhance gpu cooling.... that is a serious email i received . He also believed removing the foam barrier with was factory installed would be okay and removed it without my consent, then after alot of emails replaced it with tape.... Please see emails between me and them How can you test a laptop say its all sorted then when i receive the laptop it isn't.
